My Uncle Leonard would be very, very unhappy.
My Uncle Leonard was a tough guy. So was his son, Randy.
Randy got in a bar fight over money. He had the guy pinned against the wall. When the guy said he would pay, Randy let him down. The guy took a swing at Randy and while he did not connect, Randy found himsel on the floor looking up.
Standing over him was my Uncle Leonard. “Get in the truck,” he said.
Randy immediately forgot about the guy he was fighting. The two drove from the bar in absolute silence. Randy was confused. He knew his dad had been in plenty of bar fights.
Uncle Leonard was too angry to talk. “Wait for me at the kitchen table,” he said.
Finally, Uncle Leonard composed himself enough to speak to Randy.
“When you get a guy pinned against the wall,” he said. “You finish him off.”
