Throwback Thursday Training Camp 1963

Up until about 10 years ago it was common for the Leafs to hold training camp outside of Toronto. Some were held as close as Hamilton, others as far away as London, England. This photo was taken during training camp in Peterborough in 1963.

Punch Imlach can be seen on the ice facing a line of players including Bob Nevin, Jim Pappin, Bob Baun, Larry Hillman, Kent Douglas, and Bob Pulford amongst others. Imlach would lead this squad to his third of four Stanley Cups as coach of the Leafs and to this day still has the most wins of any coach of the Blue and White.
