Sunday’s Playoff Scenarios

The Maple Leafs have finished the regular season as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference but won’t know their opponent in the first round of the playoffs until after tonight’s Boston vs. Ottawa game which is taking place at 7pm.

Here scenarios that could see the Leafs play either the Bruins or Montreal Canadiens. Here they are:

A Bruins victory in any fashion would set up a Leafs vs. Canadiens first round series for the first time since 1979.

But a win by Ottawa in any fashion would mean the Leafs take on the Bruins in the opening round.

A full playoff schedule will be released at the conclusion of the Bruins vs. Senators game.
