With Grabovski playing for Belarus at the Worlds the total of Leafs players taking part are five. Dion Phaneuf and Luke Schenn for Canada, Joey Crabb for USA and Nikolai Kulemin for Russia.
After sweeping the best of 5 series, the Toronto Marlies are off for the next days as they await their round 2 opponent. The possible second round matchups are the Chicago Wolves, Abbotsford Heat or Milwaukee Admirals.
Leafs TV spoke with Stuart Percy who after finishing his season with the Mississauga/St.Michaels Majors joined the Marlies to learn about the pro hockey lifestyle. The OHL Western Conference Final was back in action Tuesday with the London Knights taking a 3-0 series lead over the Kitchener Rangers. Prospect Greg McKegg remained out of the lineup for the Knights with an upper body injury. Andrew Crescenzi had an assist in the 5-2 loss. The Rangers will look to avoid elimination tonight when they host Game 4.
Brad Ross and the Portland Winterhawks will look for a 3-0 series lead tonight against Tri-City. Ross has 16 points in the playoffs which is good enough for fourth best in playoff scoring in the WHL.
