Halloween has come and gone and now it’s time to take part in Movember and grow your mo!

Several Leafs players have joined Team MOple Leaf Sports & Entertainment this year including James van Riemsdyk, Mark Fraser, Cody Franson and Colton Orr.

Fans are encouraged to support or join Team MOple Leaf Sports & Entertainment to raise awareness by prompting conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.

Nazem Kadri Answers The Bell And The Hockey Questionnaire.

For a guy who makes a handsome living built on fractions of sentences, Nazem Kadri isn’t a particularly patient guy.

Ask him about the one thing he would change about himself and the 23-year-old London native sites the need to be willing to wait.

“I would be more patient,” Kadri said in his Five Questions feature. “I can get impatient and agitated sometimes. Sometimes I have to breathe and relax.”

He is breathing pretty easily right now.

In the three games he has played with Phil Kessel and James van Riemsdyk Kadri has scored […]

Handlebar. Fu Manchu. Pencil. Duster. Goatee. Or just a MO. It’s that time of year ladies and gentlemen. That time to grow your mo’s for the month of November or rather…MOvember. It’s something that has become quite the movement here in Canada and around the world. The past few years Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment has participated and our Leafs players and Alumni have jumped on board to shave and grow their moustaches for a great cause.

“During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of moustaches […]

The Leafs’ three-game road trip kicks off tonight in Edmonton with plenty of members of Leafs Nation expected in the house.

It appears that James Reimer will get the start between the pipes for the Leafs and Richard Bachman will get the call for the Oilers.

Nikolai Kulemin and Mark Fraser both took part in the morning skate but will not play […]

Clarkson’s return means Leafs will stand a little taller.

The Leafs will benefit from the ferocity displayed by David Clarkson when he left the bench to confront Buffalo

Ten games gone and really what’s been lost?

The Leafs will benefit from the ferocity displayed by David Clarkson when he left the bench to confront Buffalo’s giant John Scott.

David Clarkson returns to the Leafs’ lineup Friday in Columbus after his ten-game suspension for leaving the bench to defend Phil Kessel’s honour against Buffalo’s vast John Scott.

Along the way Clarkson lost $269,000 in salary but you get the feeling he will still be fine financially.

The Leafs, meanwhile lost only three of the 10 games he sat out.  Their 14 points […]

Rielly Makes The Team, Lupul Day-To-Day With Bruised Foot

There was lots of news at Leafs practice Thursday morning. Rookie defenceman Morgan Rielly was told prior to practice that he had made the team and will be sticking around following his ninth game tomorrow night in Columbus. Rielly has played well in eight games recording four assists.

The news wasn’t as good for Joffrey Lupul as the forward took a Paul Ranger shot off his foot, departed practice and went for x-rays. The team announced that Lupul has a bruised foot and is considered day-to-day. The Leafs recalled Josh Leivo […]

The invisible man: The Carl Gunnarsson story.

Carl Gunnarsson is the invisible man.

Unnoticed, even in the hottest hockey market, the 26-year-old Gunnarsson is regularly among the top five Leafs in ice time. He was third last season with 21:16, second the year before.

This season he sits fourth in ice time among defenceman with 19:31 behind Phaneuf, Cody Franson and Jake Gardiner but he is the only member of that group who doesn’t see power play time. Gunnarsson’s three and half minutes on the penalty kill leads the blueliners.

Unlike most hockey players, you would reflexively define Gunnarsson by […]
