bolland600jun30

The Maple Leafs added depth at centre during Sunday’s draft when the team acquired Mimico, Ontario native Dave Bolland from the Chicago Blackhawks for three draft picks (No. 51 and 117 this year and a 4th Rd. pick in 2014).

Bolland scored the Stanley Cup winning goal for the Blackhawks and has won two cups with Chicago. He finished the season with 14 points in 35 games and had six points in 18 playoff games.

The 2013 NHL Draft is just one day away and the Maple Leafs have their list for Sunday all set.

“We have the list on lockdown,” Leafs Director of Amateur Scouting Dave Morrison said.

The team brought 26 players to the team hotel in Short Hills, New Jersey for interviews with Morrison, team pyschologist Dana Sinclair, strength and conditioning coach Anthony Belza and team doctor Dr. Noah Forman.

“The interview could be 40-45 minutes if they speak with myself, Dana, Anthony  and Noah,” Morrison said.

Some of the players that we saw visiting with the Leafs were ...

The Cake Boss & Hudson Shores

prospects644jun28

With the NHL Draft just 48 hours away, a few of the NHL’s top prospects met with the media on the shores of the Hudson River Friday afternoon.  This is an annual event and allows the prospects to speak just days before one of the biggest moments of their lives.

The town of Weehawken, New Jersey is just steps away from Hoboken where the TLC reality show ‘Cake Boss’ is filmed. Before hooking up with the prospects I stopped into Carlo’s Bakery. I didn’t see Buddy but the pastries were awesome!. We took ...

Trade Fuels Competition

bernier488jun23ulmer
