The Toronto Marlies begin the 2014 Calder Cup Playoffs with a best-of-five series against the Milwaukee Admirals, AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators on Friday.
The Marlies were defeated both times by the Admirals this season losing 3-2 and 5-1.
Rookie forward Miikka Salomaki led Milwaukee in scoring with 50 points while the team had five players with at least 40 points.
Goalie Marek Mazanec started 31 games in net for the Admirals in 2013-14 and posted a 18-10-3 record with a .914 save percentage and 2.44 GAA.
The Marlies finished the season with the 9th ranked powerplay in the AHL at 19.9 percent and the 11th ranked penalty kill percentage at 83.2. Milwaukee had a 17.5 success rate on the powerplay while they were just ahead of the Marlies on the penalty kill at 83.8.
The first two road games in Milwaukee will be available on Leafs TV while all home games will be on Rogers TV starting next Thursday.
