The Maple Leafs practiced in Buffalo Thursday afternoon as they looked to put Wednesday’s 6-5 shootout loss behind them and focus on games against division rivals Buffalo and Montreal this weekend.
Randy Carlyle was asked what happened in the third period against Pittsburgh where the Leafs were unable to register a shot on goal.
“We stopped skating, we didn’t execute, we did not move. We lined four across and we’re not a four across hockey team,” Carlyle said.
There was one line shuffle at practice as Trevor Smith moved up to the third line with Jay McClement and Nik Kulemin. Take a look at the rest of the lines and defence pairings from practice at First Niagara Centre.
