Leafs Back To Work Friday

After a day off in Vancouver on Thursday, the Leafs took to the ice for a spirited hour long practice at Rogers Arena a day before their three-game Western Canada road trip comes to a close.

The Leafs lines saw a slight change as Nikolai Kulemin practiced on a line with Jay McClement and Joffrey Lupul with Carter Ashton skating as an extra. Ashton was supended two games by the NHL and will miss Saturday and next Friday’s game at home against New Jersey.

When he spoke to the media following practice, Kulemin said “I’m ready to play.”

Mark Faser once again practiced but head coach Randy Carlyle ruled outĀ Fraser for tomorrow’s game against the Canucks.

Frazer McLaren practiced after leaving Wednesday’s game as a precaution due to trauma to the left eye which he suffered in his fight with Brian McGrattan.
