The Maple Leafs were back on the ice early Monday morning before heading out on a three-game Western Canada road trip. The trip begins in Calgary Tuesday (9pm, Sportsnet, AM640).
During practice, defenceman Carl Gunnarsson collided with Jay Rosehill and fell awkwardly into the boards. He had to be helped off the ice and there was no immediate word on whether Gunnarsson would be in the lineup against the Flames.
“We’re not sure,” Ron Wilson said on the severity of the injury. “He’s going to need an image on it so we will wait until we get to Calgary and then he will go have it checked out and hopefully it’s not too serious.”
The Leafs had a couple of new looked lines during practice.
Lupul – Bozak – Kessel
Grabovski – Connolly – MacArthur
Crabb - Lombardi - Kulemin
Brown – Steckel – Boyce/Armstrong
When asked about who would start in net against the Flames, Wilson said that he had yet to decide between the Jonas Gustavsson and James Reimer.
