The Matthew Kostuch Story

jostuch488

15-year old Matthew Kostuch was sidelined by a severe concussion at the age of 10 and was forced to retire from hockey. He became a referee to stay involved in the game and help make it safer for other young players.

The Leafs found out about Matthew’s story from their partners at Hockey Canada and invited him to be an “honourary official” on March 28th as the Leafs took on the Hurricanes. Follow Matthew’s story below as he experiences stepping onto NHL ice.
