The Maple Leafs ended the 2013 rookie tournament in London, Ontario with a 6-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators. The Leafs ended the tournament with a 2-1-0 record.
Toronto jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead after goals from Stuart Percy and Matt Rupert. The Senators tied the game in the second and blew the game wide open with four third period goals. The contest also featured three fights which the Leafs were decisive winners.
The Leafs didn’t dress Morgan Rielly, Matt Finn, Same Carrick and Carter Verhaeghe.

The Maple Leafs play their third and final game of the 2013 rookie tournament tonight in London against Ottawa (7pm Rogers TV). The two teams enter the game with 2-0-0 records.
It is expected that 2013 sixth round draft pick Antoine Bibeau will get the start in net tonight for the Leafs. The status of Matt Finn will be determined after the morning skate as the blueliner left Saturday’s game with a shoulder stinger.

The Maple Leafs remained perfect at the 2013 rookie tournament thanks to another 4-3 shootout win this time over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Brad Ross scored the shootout winner as the Leafs will now face the Ottawa Senators on Sunday at 7pm to close out the three-game tournament. Both teams enter the game with perfect 2-0-0 records.

After Thursday’s opening win at the three-game rookie tournament, the Leafs will the play the second of three games tonight against Pittsburgh (7pm Rogers TV). The tournament wraps up Sunday against Ottawa.

Maple Leafs rookies opened the three-game rookie tournament with a 3-2 shootout win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. Tyler Biggs was the fifth shooter and his goal on Mac Carruth was the winner when Garret Sparks stopped Byron Froese.
Josh Leivo scored a power play goal in the first period and Brad Ross scored on a great shot to put the Leafs leading 2-0 after two periods. The Blackhawks replied with two third period goals forcing the game to overtime which didn’t produce a winner.

Hockey is back…in the form of the Leafs rookie tournament as the Leafs play the first of three games tonight against Chicago (7pm Rogers TV). After a day off on Friday, the Leafs take on Pittsburgh and Ottawa over the weekend with both games starting at 7pm.
